Cutiuța cu povești Publishing House presents a new book project!

Tina surfs among the stars on a meteor? A nosy owl that breaks its claw jumping on a trampoline? The Moon has a fabulous Dali moustache and talks with a giraffe? It seems unbelievable, but anything is possible in "Trambulina, bat-o vina!" ("Surfing among the stars"), written by Nicoleta Sibișan, illustrated by Amandine Bănescu.

A funny poem story that reveals a common day in the lives of not-so-common animals. It will make children, as well as adults laugh their heads off! Prepare yourself for an unheard of, unimaginable and unprecedented adventure!

The book has two sections: 1) Tina's story – a giraffe goes on a comical trip without planning it, and 2) a friendly informational text about the Universe.

So far, we worked exclusively with Romanian authors and illustrators in order to create original and contemporary stories. Help us continue doing it by supporting us in order to print 1000 (one thousand) copies of "Trambulina, bat-o vina!".

Show that YOU support local (Romanian) creativity! Donate starting from 5 euros.

10 copies of the book will be donated to the Bucharest Metropolitan Library, and 10 other copies to orphanages from Bucharest and Călărași.

Cutiuța cu povești Publishing House was created in 2015. We wish to promote books that celebrate diversity, encourage curiosity, suggest conversation ideas between young and older readers and support the young readers in their search for independent development. We also offer personalization services (dedication and picture, books written for a specific child etc) and creative workshops. Visit www.cutiuta-cu-povesti.ro for details and orders.

What we’ve done until now

The project is written, illustrated, proofread, and edited! The only thing that we need to do is send it to the printing house!

What we need to do from here

We already inquired some printing houses for proce offers and we chose the one that promised to render the best value for the money. The next step is sending a firm order to the chosen printing house.

That's it!

The team

Our very enthusiastic team:

Ramona Cantaragiu – undercover kid, main character of her own book, responsible with "grown-up" stufff (contracts, printing houses communication, finance);

Shahrazad Hadad – comic book hero, she has the super power to make things happen way faster than we, mortals, can, (client service, sales, library communication);

Cristiana Ciocănea – our own fairy who uses glitter from a magic wand for spells only she knows of  (graphics, DTP);

Cristina Dumitru-Călinoiu – dream catcher of someone else's dreams with the desire to make them come true (editing, proofreading).

What can go wrong

The project exists in an electronic form. We want to make it exist also in print, and the only thing that could go wrong is not raising the money we need to print the book.
